1. Introduction & Overview

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how EaseApply ("the Application", "we", "us", or "our"), published by ExpInterview, collects, uses, processes, and protects your information when you download, install, and use the EaseApply Android mobile application.

Please read this Policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your data. By downloading, accessing, or using EaseApply, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the Application.

2. Core Privacy Principles

EaseApply is built on three foundational privacy commitments:

1. Data Sovereignty: You own your data. All sensitive personal details, resumes, and answers are stored locally on your device within sandboxed application storage.
2. No Account Requirement: The Application functions without forcing you to create an account, log in with social providers, or provide telemetry profiles.
3. Zero Commercialization: We do not sell, rent, license, or disclose your personally identifiable information (PII) to third-party data brokers, advertising networks, or recruitment aggregators.

3. Information We Collect & Process

Depending on how you use EaseApply, the Application processes information in two distinct ways: locally on your device, and temporarily during AI form planning.

A. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

• Personal Identity & Contact Information: Full name, email address, phone number, physical mailing address, LinkedIn profile URL, GitHub profile URL, and portfolio website links entered by you.
• Resume Documents & Extracted Metadata: PDF resume files imported by you, including parsed employment histories, job titles, employer names, dates of employment, education degrees, institutions, and skill sets.
• Application Memory & Questionnaire Answers: Answers you provide to recurrent job application questions (such as work authorization, visa sponsorship requirements, salary expectations, notice periods, and demographic disclosures).
• Local Automation History & Logs: Records of automated application runs, form snapshot metadata, and offline profile scores.

B. Information Processed Temporarily During AI Automation

• DOM & Structural Form Metadata: When you open a job application webpage (e.g., Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, BambooHR) in the in-app browser, the local engine extracts non-visual HTML metadata (input names, field labels, option values, and element IDs).
• Text-Only Form Prompting: The extracted field names along with the relevant corresponding values from your local profile are transmitted securely via TLS to the configured AI language model (Google Gemini or OpenRouter) strictly to synthesize form actions (e.g. typing text, selecting radio buttons, triggering file attachment).

C. Cryptographic Entitlement & Quota Verification

For users utilizing trial allocations or metered AI subscriptions, the Application transmits a one-way salted SHA-256 hash of device-level entropy to our Cloudflare Entitlement Worker. This cryptographic token contains no personal information and cannot be reverse-engineered to identify you or your device; it is used solely to enforce rate limits and trial quotas.

4. Information We Do NOT Collect

To maintain strict privacy boundaries, EaseApply explicitly does not collect:

• Visual Screenshots / Camera Feeds: The application does not capture screen pixels or webcam images. Visual processing models were deprecated in favor of text-only DOM harvesting.
• Raw Audio Recordings: Speech dictation in the Profile Gap screen uses the native Android System RecognizerIntent. Transcriptions are returned by the Android OS directly; raw voice audio is never accessed or recorded.
• Credit Card / Financial Details: In-app subscriptions are processed through external checkout (Dodo Payments). We never receive or store your payment card numbers.
• Precise GPS Location: We do not request or track your physical device geolocation.
• Contact Lists or Device Media: We do not access your contacts, SMS messages, photo library, or unrelated files.

5. How Information Is Used

Information handled by EaseApply is utilized solely for the following explicit purposes:

• To autofill job application fields and input text on third-party job application portals upon your instruction.
• To extract and structure your resume details into local profile attributes.
• To provide offline profile scoring and optimization suggestions for public LinkedIn and GitHub profiles.
• To enforce daily request quotas, trial balances, and subscription entitlements.

7. Third-Party Services & Subprocessors

EaseApply integrates with select third-party service providers to facilitate AI inference and optional subscription processing:

• Google Gemini API (Google Cloud / Google AI): Used for form reasoning, field categorization, and text extraction. Prompts transmitted are subject to Google Cloud Enterprise Privacy standards.
• OpenRouter: Alternative AI routing provider. If you enter your own OpenRouter API key, requests are transmitted directly with zero intermediary logging.
• Cloudflare Workers: Hosts our stateless entitlement verification service for trial rate-limiting and quota checking.
• Dodo Payments: Handles secure payment processing for Pro subscriptions via external browser checkout.

8. Data Storage, Security & Retention

We employ robust technical and organizational measures to safeguard your information:

• Android Sandboxing: All profile records and SQLite database entries are isolated within your application sandbox, preventing unauthorized access by other applications installed on your device.
• Transport Layer Security: All external network traffic is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS 1.3 encryption.
• Ephemeral Retention: Form snapshots transmitted during AI planning are processed in memory and are not permanently retained on external servers.

9. Your Rights & Permanent Data Erasure

Because all user data resides locally on your Android device, you have immediate and absolute authority over your personal information:

• Right to Access & Modify: You can view, edit, or replace your resume and profile entries at any time directly within the Profile screen.
• Right to Erasure (Complete Deletion): You can erase your profile by tapping "Clear Data" inside the App, or by navigating to Android Settings > Apps > EaseApply > Storage > Clear Storage.
• App Uninstallation: Uninstalling EaseApply instantly and irreversibly removes all stored resumes, application logs, and database records from your device.

10. Compliance with Global Regulations (GDPR, CCPA & Google Play)

EaseApply complies with global data privacy frameworks including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and the Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement:

• No Data Sale: We do not sell or share consumer personal information as defined by CCPA/CPRA.
• Data Minimization: We collect and process only the minimal data strictly necessary to fulfill the automated application function requested by the user.

11. Children's Privacy

EaseApply is intended for individuals seeking professional employment and career opportunities. The Application is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under the age of 16 in certain jurisdictions), and we do not knowingly process personal data from children.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory updates. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
